This an exciting time at Zipabout as we start to expand into Europe.  We’re searching for a “person-Friday” to rollup their sleeves and keep us shipshape!  We’re a fast paced and creative business and value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Organisation will be your middle name!  You’ll be a whizz in running a smooth and efficient office, relaxed in your ability to present a professional face as ‘front of house’ and happy to juggle multiple tasks. The idea of sitting still and doing the same thing every day will sound deadly dull and you’ll be motivated by the opportunity to develop your career within the business.  You’ll be a people person keen to get to know the team and make the workplace fun and comfortable (we’ll hold you responsible if we run out of custard creams….)

Core duties
  • Provision of team admin support to aid the smooth running of the office; maintaining office order, petty cash purchasing
  • Ownership of the office supplier / contractor relationships, e.g. cleaners, utilities, waste management, alarm maintenance
  • Fire and health & safety management
  • Answering the ‘phone professionally and taking clear and concise messages
  • Front of house – meet & greet visitors; present a professional front to the business
  • Fire Marshall duties: fire drills / fire alarm testing
  • Team first aider duties; accident book, first aid kit
  • Key holder and responsible for opening and closing the office every day
  • Supporting on/offboarding for staff joining/leaving
  • Updating/maintaining records e.g. asset register, filing
  • Ideas for team socials and running their logistics
  • Making the office a great environment to work in
  • Ad hoc projects to support the business
Vital experience
  • Experience in a fast paced role
  • Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Tech literate including social media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident at interacting with senior individuals
  • Collaborative instincts and excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
  • Highly organised but not bureaucratic
  • Strong sense of initiative and have-a-go attitude
  • Willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved wherever your support is needed
  • Desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Capacity to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment
  • Comfortable operating independently with minimal supervision(once established)
