This an exciting time at Zipabout as we start to expand into Europe.  We’re searching for a dynamic and creative Communications Director who will be an integral part of business and enable our continued growth in the UK and abroad.

You’ll have a broad range of experience and be confident coordinating overall communications strategy and managing day-to-day marketing and communications activity across digital and social platforms, traditional media and with stakeholders.

You’ll want to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, helping shape our messaging and communicate our story to our key audiences across transport, sustainability, local government and tech as we prepare to scale our current offering and launch an exciting new product.

Work closely with senior management team you’ll be pivotal to ensuring that all marketing and communications activity aligns with our commercial goals at a time of rapid growth and investment for the business.

• Management of external freelance PR support to deliver proactive media relations campaigns for product launches and ongoing profile raising. React to emerging news stories when required, identify appropriate comms opportunities. Manage our reputation in the media, cultivate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media contacts and influencers
• Liaise with internal product, dev and creative teams to coordinate comms activity and campaigns and develop collateral
• Devise and project manage events
• Build relationships with key partners, trade bodies and other external organisations on relevant communications topics and issues
• Lead on company presence on social media platforms and digital channels, overseeing the Digital Channel Manager on content creation and planning for all social media activities as well as delivery of stakeholder newsletter and keeping website updated.
• Work alongside senior team to communicate strategy internally through the business and drive employee engagement

• At least five years’ agency experience (essential),
• Proven track record of leading on the creation and delivery of communications strategy
• Strong media contacts in national news (transport contacts ideal but not essential)
• Experience of writing and editing content for target audiences
• Excellent stakeholder management skills to work with key partners on communication activity
• Experience in managing a team and budgets

LOCATION

This is a hybrid office/WFH role with at least 3 days per week in  our Leamington Spa office required.
